Sustainable Energy
We are committed to providing a clean, safe and high quality of life for future generations and to achieve this we need to all do our part. Therefore, we are transitioning our energy source to Powershop – the only company to be accredited as 100% carbon neutral for both gas and electricity under the National Carbon Offset Standard as our sole provider for the business.
How does it work?
Powershop purchases Certified Emission Reduction (CER) certificates from projects developing sustainability initiatives from around the globe. These projects are managed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Once the CER certificates are purchased by Powershop, the customers’ carbon output is offset including Powershop’s day to day business activities.
This means that the power used at Standby Property Maintenance will be offset by these certificates which contribute to sustainability projects such as providing renewable energy, methane capture and reforestation.
We are extremely proud to transition our energy source to Powershop, ensuring a carbon-neutral future is the first of many steps we are committed to taking to work with the environment, not against it.

We purchase enough CERs to cover the carbon generated for our customers’ energy use and to cover the carbon emitted as a result of our business’ everyday activities (travel, power usage, etc).
